Happy Training Clients

Had the pleasure to do puppy training with the Greshon families newest member Jake who is a 15 week old Labradoodle. Jake loves his family but was being too rough with the human kiddos and was jumping and biting them. Jake came to Savvy Pooch for some training and today he was reintroduced to his family. Happy to say, Jake is back to being at the bottom of the pack and no more biting or roughing up the kids. Ted and Sophie received a training lesson today on how to get Jake to behave and respond to them. PAWS UP to two great kids who did a great job working with Jake. One lucky dog to have such an awesome family who cared enough to send him to me for training so he will be “One of the family”.

Biscuit and his owner came to me with behavior problems. Biscuit is a rescue that had fear issues, with very limited obedience manners. He did not want to walk on a leash without pulling or lunging and would run off if off leash. Owner wanted him to learn manners and be able to walk with him without pulling, lunging, or ignoring him. Biscuit came and stayed with me and when he left his owner was very pleased not only is Biscuit calmer, he is also minding and doing sits, downs, stays, recalls, leave its, waiting at doors, walking in heel position off leash. Happy Dog, Happy Owner.

Good Boy BISCUIT!!!! It was a pleasure to work with you and see how smart you are. Another happy Savvy Pooch client. LOVE what I do!!!!!!

And this little sweetie Sophie is loved by Natalie. Sophie came to Savvy Pooch for puppy Kindergarten to learn all her puppy manners to include name recognition, crate training, socialization, noise desensitization, recalls and more.

Another happy owner picking up her puppy that just completed Puppy Kindergarten . Love working with puppies and helping them get started with a solid foundation. Punkin headed to her forever home in Houston. Say hello to Punkin and her new mama.

Here is one from one of my favorite family and their two dogs that I trained. Love this family and love Max and Ruby.

This is Sterling. He is a six month old 100 pound Mastiff and his owners hired me to put them through puppy training. Sterling came has a hand full. To be a puppy this big and so strong. I had my hands full, but when he left here after training he was a gentle calm well behaved giant who loved walking next to his owners instead of dragging them. LOVING IT!!!!!

Had the honor and pleasure to work with Foxxy a Australian Kelpi. Foxxy is a extremely high driven working dog who decided she didn’t want to listen to her family when they called her to come to them and some other issues. After working with her I am proud to say she is doing great recalls with her family and the bond between her and her human Reghan is growing even stronger than before. Thank you Payne family for allowing me to train such a beautiful intelligent girl.

Had the pleasure to work with Oliver for the last ten days on refresher training and to address a couple of other issues he had of jumping and climbing. Oliver is a very smart sweet dog with a loving family from Austin.

Xena is a chocolate Labradoodle. She came to Savvy Pooch for some extra needed training. Xena is a very social butterfly and had a very bad habit of going all four in the air every time she meets someone. Typical puppy brains, but very bad habit to continue. Also worked on other issues which we addressed. Happy to say, with the very short stay here at Savvy Pooch we had Xena doing meet and greets with manners and all four’s on the floor. Owner’s were very pleased and loved the progress.

Another happy couple who just picked up their pup who went through puppy kindergarten at Savvy Pooch. Happy puppy, happy family. Gonna miss this little guy.

Had the honor and pleasure to do puppy training for this awesome family. Pax is a 6 month old full of doodle energy pup. Took Pax to his new owners last night and this today I have this wonderful text from his family.

Karen, I have been with Pax all evening and I can’t tell you how pleased I am with how well mannered he is. I took him off of his leash this evening for a walk and he stayed right with me the entire time. When he did explore he only went a few feet and when I said “Pax Here” he came running. We look forward to continuing the training you have begun and we can’t thank you enough for the amazing head start you gave us on the road to success! All the best and happy to be a reference for you in the future.

Thank you Bass family for the opportunity to train Pax for you and for the glowing review. Know you and your lovely family will have many years of joy with your newest family member.

Had the pleasure of having this little guy with me for 4 weeks of Puppy Kindergarten training. He is now going home to his wonderful humans with beginning basic puppy training to include name recognition, potty training, socialization, sit, down, and much much more. Thank you to Almost Famous Dog for the referral. Great pup and a pleasure to work and train such a well balanced pup.

Ms. Phoebe was here for 2 weeks of puppy kindergarten training offered here at Savvy Pooch. The training package included name recognition, crate training, potty training, sit, down, here, socializing, desensitizing to noises and address any bad habits that we saw starting . Phoebe was an awesome bright student who loved to work for treats and positive praise.

Love it when I get reports back of their progress. “Phoebe did great. No accidents last night in her crate & success first thing this morning outside w/pee & poop!!! She met Alice (the old grumpy ranch dog) and may have brought a little spring in her step. I’ll return the favor w/pics & videos. Thank you again. Love her and her sweet little personality already!”

This handsome little boy is sleeping now and getting ready for all the learning’s he will be getting with me at Savvy Pooch. Get lots of sleep Ollie, as training starts when you wake up sweetness. Another pup at Savvy Pooch for kindergarten puppy training.

What a joy and pleasure to have here at Savvy Pooch for puppy training. Tally was here for 14 days and learned so much from name recognition, crate training, potty training, noise desensitization, socialization, and basic commands of sit, down, and here. Happy pup and happy owners!!!!!!

Love working with dogs, especially puppies. Here is Coco with her owner Dinah. Coco just finished completing a 14 day puppy training course at Savvy Pooch. A very happy customer and one very lucky puppy. A very sweet girl that I nicknamed Coco Puff. Very smart and a fast learner.

Testimonials

I have known Karen for nine years and have witnessed her interaction with our dogs as well as others.

I obtained a puppy about a year ago that unfortunately had a scarey experience with a buck at a young age. Since that time he has been scared of everything including people outside of our family. His reaction to strangers was agressive to the point I hesitated to take him off of our property. He became terrified of our horses and even our cat.

Karen came to our home and evaluated the situation and then returned for a session on leash training since Bo also had issues with pulling on the leash. She also worked with him around our horses helping him overcome his fears and helping him build self confidence.

We recently met at Tractor Supply to help Bo with his fear of strangers. His behavior has completely changed after basically one and a half sessions. Karen has provided me with the knowledge and tools I need to deal with Bo’s problems.I know that she is always there if I need additional help. I would recommend her to anyone needing help with their dogs. She approaches training with positive reinforcement of good behavior instead of punishment for incorrect behavior.

Karen was recommended to me by my cousin Sterlene Vincent for boarding our two labs this past year. My dogs have stayed at Kamar’s Bed-N-Biscuit Pet Resort on numerous occasions, and I feel they have really enjoyed their visits while there.

Karen is very knowledgeable about the care and security of each and every animal that visit at the pet resort. I felt so confident about Karen’s knowledge of dogs that I recently hired Karen to help me with dog training for my 7 month old high energy lab, Gus. Through Karen’s positive training, he has come a long way as far as his aggression towards food and our family. He is much calmer, listens more intently, and responds to my commands. He has really learned a lot (as well as myself), and I owe it all to Karen!!

Karen is very patient and understanding with Gus, and always keeps her promise to be at my home on time with every appointment. I am so glad that I found her when I did because Gus was a much harder puppy to train than any puppy I have ever had before.

I highly recommend Karen at Savvy Pooch K-9 Training for all of the support and guidance you need with your loving pets. She has a good heart, very knowledgeable in canine behavior, and she definitely loves what she is doing…

I have waited 3 months to write this review. The reason for that being is that I wanted to see how my dog (Biscuit) would act few months post training and; therefore, provide an accurate review.

Karen has done an amazing job with training Biscuit! Couldn’t be happier. He is a rescued dog that had been abused as a puppy. He had confidence issues, didn’t know any commands, would pull on the leash, etc.

Looking at Biscuit now you would never guessed he was abused. He is happy, confident, playful while still listening to commands and not pulling on the leash when walking. I have been able to take him with me everywhere I go with no misbehaving issues. You can clearly tell that Karen loves dogs and enjoys training them. I highly recommend!!

Karen is the best trainer I have ever had the pleasure of having my dog trained through. Erin started out knowing a few basic commands, but with Karen’s excellent guidance I can take her anywhere and everyone is full of praise to how well behaved and mindful she is. Karen shows such love and patience for all the dogs she trains and I will continue to enlist her wonderful training for all my pups for years to come!!!! Thank you so much Karen for being such an awesome person and trainer!!!!!

Karen is the best….we still have a way to go with Bailey Boy as he’s a pretty happy and excitable 4 year old, but it’s amazing what she can do with these dogs. Bailey had been in training classes prior to going to Karen and the difference is amazing! He passed the Canine Good Citizen Test and I know he could not have done it prior to her working with him. Great job!

Karen has helped us with training our new cavapoo girl Abbie and has been absolutely wonderful!! Abbie is a sweetheart, but VERY strong willed and was being quite a brat when Karen first came. She is smart as a whip, though, and with Karen’s help she is becoming such a good girl eager to please. Karen is the most caring, knowledgeable person & trainer & we have been so lucky to have her. She cares so much about the fur babies and their owners & goes above & beyond to help! She knows when to be stern (something I definitely needed a push on!) & when to reward & has guided us through each behavior. We so look forward to her coming each time & Abbie loves her (even though she know she can’t get away with anything with Karen!) I would HIGHLY recommend Karen to any puppy/dog owner without a single reservation!!
